“I can’t imagine being single now, I don’t know how you do it.”
I hear this more often than I would care to admit. Like it’s a new diet, “oh, no carbs, I don’t know how you do it.”
Being the only singleton in a group of friends is painful enough in itself, without being asked how you do it!
Personally, having been in relationships for the last 5 years, being newly single at the beginning of the year did come as a culture shock to me. I suddenly had all this time on my hands and nothing to fill it with. Not that I spent a great deal of my time with my last boyfriend, but even hanging on and waiting to see if I would see him took up a lot of time.
I’ve spent the last 5 months getting to know myself. To be completely honest, I had forgotten who I was apart from the doting loyal girlfriend. I am now an independent career woman with a passion for the gym (not that I’m very good at it, but I try!) I’ve got a bunch of beautiful friends and family who I love dearly. I’m ashamed to say that I had taken them for granted during my I’ll advised relationships, but I’m working on rectifying that now.
Anyway, this blog is going to be a new experience for me, I’m going to document my newly found single status and the encounters I have along the way.
Just a little taster for you, the best chat up line I’ve heard since becoming single has to be a classy one liner, which is as…..
Like I said, classy!
I will continue to bring you these little gems as often as I get inspiration!
Lots of Love
